I attended the Urgent Care centre to day as the medication for a chest infection prescribed by GP was causing very unpleasant side effects. I needed an alternative drug so I could recover. Attitude of senior nurse lacked compassion and her approach Was that I should live with the side effects as this may be only drug available. I had researched NICE guidelines before attending so I knew there was an alternative drug. When I told her this she went to check guidelines and returned with alternative drug and told me to go. No explantation about the drug, no kindness to an older person who had not slept for 24 hours.
