"New Woman!"

The effect of my new hip on my life has been nothing short of miraculous - and I wanted to say a huge thank-you to my surgeon and the orthopaedic team at the Duchy Hospital. I had thought that because I was relatively young to be needing a new hip I would have to spend years on a waiting list - or to go privately - so I was astonished and more than grateful to be offered this amazing, life-changing treatment on the NHS but carried out at the Duchy. Seven months on I would hardly know I'd had an operation. I'm gently back on the tennis court and gym - even considering a gentle ski next year. Everyone at the Duchy was kind, friendly and highly professional. I hope I won't need a second new hip any time soon but if I did I would certainly choose the same team. I'm not allowed to name individuals, but here's to the many people who looked after me so well - thank you all.
