"I could not have asked for better treatment"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I was sent to A&E by my GP with chest pains.  The receptionist immediately had a nurse to ask me some questions and decided to investigate further.  A student nurse performed a whole host of tests including an ECG, passing the results to a Doctor.  The Doctor checked over the results and asked some further questions and concluded it was simply a strained muscle, but still checked with a colleague.  From walking in to walking out, the whole process took about an hour and a half.
The whole team handled me with exceptional professionalism.  They explained all of the tests and proceedures and did all they could to put me at ease whilst they were investigating.  I could not have asked for better treatment and once again cannot speak highly enough of our NHS.Many thanks.

Dear EFOX

I am delighted to hear of your praise for the care and professionalism that you experienced in A&E at Ninewells Hospital. I am also pleased to hear that you were assessed promptly and were provided with explanations regarding the tests and procedures. I hope that you are recovering well from the diagnosed muscle strain. We value feedback and I will ensure that your positive comments are shared with the A&E team and the student nurse.

Thanks again, Sean McArtney.
