Came in last night to a very very busy A&E with my 2yo daughter. We had to wait a while and by the time we got to the triage nurse my little one was pretty fed up. She wanted to breastfeed for comfort and when the triage nurse cane back with some calpol for her, she didn’t bat an eyelid. She just handed me the syringe and said to give ‘whilst She is feeding’ then kindly said if I needed privacy to feed, I could use the cubicles beyond the waiting room. I am very pro-breastfeeding so don’t normally hide away but I’m nine months pregnant and wa very sore from sitting waiting so long and actually really appreciated the offer of somewhere private - especially when everyone was clearly rushed off their feet. So I want to pass on thanks to the triage nurse who not only passed any judgement for me feeding a toddler but just said the right thing at the right time!
On another note, our doctor was very kind and efficient, despite clearly being very tired and busy! What an amazing job you all do!
