"My visit to Great Berry Surgery"

I have recently moved to Great Berry Surgery after finding it extremely difficult to get an emergency or routine appointment at my previous surgery that I had been a patient at for 24 years . I needed to have an emergency appointment this morning as I have been unwell for over a week now . I popped in to the surgery at just after eight half expecting a grilling by the receptionist and to be told there was nothing available .Instead a very pleasant receptionist offered me an appointment at 10.00 . I was seen by one particular doctor. I asked him if he was a locum and he told me he was a trainee Doctor there . I have to say he had an excellent bed side manner he seemed genuinely interested in me and my symptoms and was extremely thorough in his examination and even went to consult with one of his colleagues very rare these days as at my previous surgery you felt rushed and that you were wasting their time !

I left feeling totally reassured and would absolutely no qualms about seeing this man again .My first visit to the surgery has been a really good experience and I’m sure that is because of the ethos there .My faith in the NHS has been restored !
