After seeing various different GPs over the past two/three years I am still none the wiser as to why I keep having the symptoms etc that I am having. The GP’s that I have seen have showed lack of care and interest and do not appear to take in what I have to say. I constantly feel as though I am been ignored and that it’s is in my head, when I clearly know that it isn’t. I very rarely go to the doctors and when I do it is almost impossible to get a GP appointment and when you do it always appears to be a waste of time. I have however finally been referred but as the GP stated this is only to “put my mind at ease” which again makes me feel as though I am not taken seriously. There’s is a lack of communication between staff members also.
I feel as though once you’ve seen a GP and they think for example you have “anxiety” and that is what’s causing your symptoms then no other GP will understand or listen to you. Which I personally think is wrong as their diagnosis could be incorrect hence why sometimes you see a different GP for a second opinion. This again a waste of time.
