Please pass on my praise for the efficient help I was given on Wednesday 18 September by the young volunteers in the main entrance foyer who were working as ‘Wayfinders’.
I had arrived at the hospital for an outpatient appointment and my appointment letter contained no information regarding whereabouts in the vast hospital the Physiotherapy department was.
I spotted on a signboard that it was in the ‘blue zone’ but hadn’t a clue where that was and ended up in the Main foyer.
I must have looked a bit lost because I was approached by a group of very smart young volunteers who guided me all the way to the Physiotherapy department and explained how to get back through the exit door when my appointment was finished.
I was especially glad that they helped me because part of the journey was through a corridor that looked like a hospital service area with beds and equipment lined up against walls and I would not have ventured through there without their company as I would have worried that I was entering into a ‘staff only’ zone.
Thanks to the Wayfinder volunteers I arrived on time and stress-free for my appointment.
Thank you.
