"What a marvelous job these people do."

Last week, I had to attend Southend Hospital for a potentially life-changing serious medical condition.

From the moment of registering at admissions, being greeted by the Nurse in Charge and until my departure, all the teams were awe inspiring.

The service that was given to me was superlative.

From doctors, consultants, nurses, receptionists, food suppliers, cleaners, ward staff everybody treated me in a fashion I can only describe as first class brilliance. The competency of the teams was professional, compassionate, dedicated and everybody always had time for a smile.

These truly wonderful people, in often difficult circumstances, strive for perfection in order to save lives and help very ill people.

The work these lovely people do on a daily basis is magnificent.

I am grateful and probably like many other people, realise how lucky we are to have these professionals in our midst.
