"Lacking aftercare"

About: East Cheshire NHS Trust

After breaking my wrist and the A&E department saying I needed an op the following morning and sent home, it went down hill. Due to lack of beds or surgeons my op was delayed a week.

After the needed op I was given no care guidance on discharge and was told I would have an appointment in 2wks for follow up. I ended up having to go back as the cast was placed too high up the hand and too tight which resulted in pressure sores.

Turns out I have been lost in the system and no one knows about the 2wk follow up appointment that’s needed. A week of daily calls and I may be getting somewhere... nothing confirmed yet but sounding hopeful. Been a complete shambles at an anxious and worrying time.
