About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as a service user),

I had my son via emergency c section in January at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. I am a first time mum so, found the experience to be emotional and exciting but during my labour I was told that I would need an emergency c section and I did panic and worry however, the fantastic team of midwives on duty that night were absolutely brilliant and a credit to the NHS. There was a midwife in particular called jacqui who was so caring, and dedicated to her job and showed 110% compassion and care.  She even checked in on me before the end of her shift and the following day.  I am so thankful to all the staff for the fantastic care I received and with special thanks to all involved, my baby boy was born safely at 0413am.. The best day of my life becoming a mummy to my beautiful son.

I hope this reaches the staff on the labour ward at forth valley Royal hospital as, you all do such a wonderful job!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. I hope you and your little boy are well and that you are enjoying all the special times being a new Mum brings. I am sure you can hardly believe how quickly the last 9 months have passed!

Having an emergency c. section can be very scary so it is fantastic to hear that the staff helped support you through this anxious but exciting time and were part of the best day of your life becoming a Mum.

I will ensure all of the labour ward team and especially Jacqui see your posting. I know they will be delighted to read such glowing praise.
