"Long wait for test results poor follow up"

I’m very unhappy it took 5 weeks to get my husbands ECG test results and then the disappointing news was given to him over the phone and when he wanted a face to face the first appointment available was 10 days away! Dr gave him a prescription for beta blockers plus blood thinning meds and my husbands taking it quite badly. He's turning 60 and taking partial retirement and this life changing diagnosis has really impacted on him. We are supposed to go on a long haul flight on 8 October and now I’m worried about that. The results should have been given in a face to face meeting with plenty of time for support. Instead he’s got to wait 10 days. I feel standards at this surgery are falling- appointments are not available quickly and we see different GPs each time. He’s probably going to go private as a result but we still have to wait to get the GP referral letter. It was also quite hard to work out how to complain- email complaints don’t seem to be accepted. I’m quite worried about the future
