"Hospital appointment a tick box exercise"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

After my knee was damaged in june i attended A and E had an xray no broken bones but suspected ligament damage i followed the hospital advice had several further doctors appointments for pain relief my mobility is reduced some days i cannot walk.

I have waited since June to see a consultant .the day finally arrived after becoming depressed i am weepy constantly feeling sick due to pill popping and pain relief which isnt working declining mobility my job is at risk pain threshold gone ! I have reduced mobility from a brain tumour removal but attending a 1 minute appoitment no consultation the consultant touched my knee i screamed and he referred me for an mri scan said 2 weeks wait ha more like 6 and told to go back to my doctor ! Hang on no consultation what about pain and reduced mobility which is getting worse? What next ? What about my job?

I have since made several phone calls but nothing only to he told there is a 6 week wait for an mri scan plus 6 weeks to then see consultant and another wait for surgery!

So i can say today's appoitment was a complete waste of time and nhs money a tick box exercise ! No patient care appalling i left in tears an appalling way to run a health care service there was no discussion regarding management of the knee or pain relief i came home in floods of tears i just now envisage greater health issues possibly liver damage due to pill popping wright gain and a loss of employment!

But who cares ???? Lets focus on being a nobody

Thankyou for using me as a tick box exercise to meet targets no person centred care today at the fracture clinic appalling !
