"Kind and understanding staff"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Neurology

About 10 years ago I had a horrible experience with one of the doctors at this hospital but very recently I went in for some treatment that I knew would trigger a phobia of mine.

When the panic attacks set in the doctor and his medical student were very kind and understanding, which I know from experience not all are, and they got me water, tissues and let me lie down when I needed too.

The appointment probably took much longer that it should have because of my phobia but they never made me feel bad about it or tried to rush me.

After my appointment too a HCA noticed I was struggling to keep myself together and sat with me in a little room talking to me until my breathing calmed down and I stopped crying, he was even kind enough to recommend a place I might find work since I mentioned I was unemployed!
