"AEC is superb"

I was seen by this hospital yesterday through the AEC system.

I was caving a cardiac incident and I don’t mind admitting it frightened me.

The staff in A&E were brilliant. Because of the symptoms I presented with o was seen very quickly. I couldn’t ask for more. They were attentive and kind.

After being on a monitor for a while it became clear that I wasn’t in the grip of something fatal so the decision was made that I could go through the AEC system.

Yes I had to wait while for the results of tests to come back and to then see the Consultant. But that was within their time scales.

I am also fortunate that the outcome for me on this occasion was a good one and I was able to return home.

Not being admitted was good for me and clearly good for the hospital.
