I have been with the surgery a number of years and haven't felt the need to go to this extreme before. I have recently been diagnosed with a thyroid problem through blood tests ,had tablets sorted day after and an appointment to discuss the situation almost 3 weeks later. I arrange to change my day off so I could go for this appointment to find when I get there it has been cancelled. No explanation as to why and who cancelled it and offered me an appointment for 3 weeks time or sunday, which I cant do as I have to work and cannot keep changing my days off just because they cancelled my appointment. Feel this is really bad customer care as as your told you have a lifelong condition that needs daily medication, but no follow up or customer care package, leaving me with unanswered questions, causing me to be upset and stressed. I asked for another appointment that day or the next evening but was told none were available, funny as when we call for an appointment I was told you keep a small amount of appointment slots back for sit and wait patients, why was I not offered one of those. Also gave my prescription exemption certificate in to be signed by dr nearly 3 weeks ago and had to call to see if it was ready, as hadn't heard anything, to get messagd same day to say it was now ready and when I collected it the date the dr signed it was the same date I signed almost 3 weeks earlier. I had asked for someone to call me back but guess what no call. I felt that strongly let down I have emailed the practice manager and hot email back to say they were looking into it.
