"Mosquito in my ear"

About: St Austell Community Hospital

I arrived at Penrice Community Hospital at 10.30 on Monday 9th September and was seen at 10.50 by a wonderful male triage nurse. I was sure a mosquito had entered my ear on holiday in Portugal the previous week. I was right. After a thorough and careful examination and a second opinion from the lovely nurse on duty...it was taken out. It was obviously dead. The relief mentally was immense. I was treated so well that day by all concerned including a certain amount of humour from all of us. Thank you to all of you. There’s no flies on me !!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share the experience you received at one of our Minor Injury Units. We are really pleased to hear that the treatment was positive and I will ensure this is shared with the Matron and team lead to be cascaded to staff members. They will be delighted to receive it.
