"Prostate cancer"

About: Victoria Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I received information and explanations in full from a prostate specialist nurse. It was frank and no holds were barred, particularly regarding possible side-effects of treatment.

Of course, I felt the feelings you would expect, such as fear. But above all I felt the nurse had been hugely helpful: she had put me fully in the picture and I was needing that.

Dear Hoolet,

Thank you for sharing your feedback after you met with the prostate specialist nurse.

A huge part of the prostate nurses role and responsibility is sharing information and providing the opportunity to discuss this with the patient whilst ensuring this all meets the patients expectations. I am delighted that you consider this information sharing worked well for you, the prostate specialist nurse will be pleased to read this feedback.

Regards Arlene
