"Fantastic Staff on Carlton Coleby"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Respiratory medicine

My mother was in Carlton Coleby Ward for a short period of time last month.

The care compassion, kindness and humour with which she was treated was exceptional. As a family we were kept fully informed and involved in her care and decision making. Mum did die on the Ward which was anticipated and planned for which meant we could spend good quality time with mum and made the whole experience so much easier for us all..

Thank you - you were brilliant!

Thank you so much for your very kind words. That you have taken the time to pass on your appreciation, especially in circumstances that, understandably, you are still finding difficult, makes them even more valued.

On Carlton Coleby ward, as with all wards across the Trust, they try to do their very best for all people in their care; it really makes a positive difference to staff morale when this is recognised.

Offering compassion to our patients, and their loved ones, is one of the Trust’s core values. A compassionate attitude is not something that can be taught, it has to be part of a person’s essential makeup.

We are proud that members of the team continue to demonstrate this value and, in doing so, hopefully help to make what is clearly a very painful experience a little more bearable.
