I have recently attended Monklands hospital as I had Basal Cell Carcinoma in my outer ear and on my shoulder.

I had the mole removed on my shoulder very quickly at the dermatology clinic within 2 weeks of being seen.

I was then referred to ENT and Miss Yaneza. She fully explained what the operation entailed and what would happen during the operation/afterwards. She was very nice and supportive and advised me to go away and think about the operation as it would be done under local anethestic and it would not be Mohs surgery as this is not carried out at Monklands. I went back a week later and gave consent for the operation as she had really made me feel at ease

I was operated within 2 weeks. All nurses and doctors were fantastic. The waiting and theatre facilities were as good as any private hospital - spotless and well equipped. I would highly recommend Miss Yaneza and Monklands hospital.
