"Unbelievable"

About: Taw Hill Medical Practice

Ridiculous few yrs with this surgery. Earlier in yr rang hub, queued 55mins and then cut off. Got appointment as husband tracked down practice manager to Moredon. Had accident at work 13years ago which has left me in wheelchair. In chronic pain but had a new pain on top and not managing. Saw locum who looked briefly back through notes for couple of years. Asked me cause of pain and said spinal cord injury and level. Told me no mention of that in notes, it was just muscular and I needed a course of massage and whole problem would resolve!!! The time I wasted seeing the professor of orthopaedic surgery at the south west regional centre and his team and numerous pain clinic consultants and huge doses of painkillers, when I could have been cured with a massage. I'm open to trying most things so did speak to a sports physio to try to arrange something but he refused to touch me and said, "no!!just no".

I was an advanced nurse practitioner and injured at work so understand how useless NHS can be. I never tell people I used to be a nurse anymore because I'm embarrassed. I never worked in the community nor in Swindon thankfully but this really isn't good enough. It takes a lot to make a nurse complain but this is ridiculous.
