"Pity an otherwise great hospital let down by..."

About: Harrogate District Hospital

Thought the days of rude, overbearing consultants who barely let patients get a word in edgeways had gone 30+ years ago, but apparently not - encountered one in outpatients' clinic at HDH yesterday.

Luckily all the several other members of staff there were superb.

//Have to say also that the new-style chairs in the "pink" zone waiting area are totally unsuitable if you have any kind of back trouble - the seat has a kind of "soft centre" that you sink much too far into, and the back rest provides no support at all as it slopes away far too much.

In the interests of preventative medicine I hope these new chairs are quickly swapped back to the old upright style ones!
