"Service has really deteriorated"

We have been patients of the surgery on and off for twenty years, the doctors always used to provide an excellent service but now it seems we cannot even get to see a doctor. It is not unusual to ring to get a busy tone from the landline or from the mobile phone to have an automated service advise that you are 10 / 11th in the queue. When I have finally been able to get through I have been told there are. I available appointments in the next two weeks and to try again tomorrow for the next appointment date to be released only to be stuck in the same cycle. The system online also states no available appointments. This is not good for someone that relies on medication, needs regular reviews but cannot even get through the appointments system to be a review or see the GP. I have tried calling every day for the last week to no avail. The reception staff are very unhelpful, which is not surprising given the level of frustration they must have to deal with from patients. The restrictions on ordering a repeat prescription over the phone make it almost impossible to get a repeat prescription when needed and on a number of occasions the surgery has no record of the prescription or it is at the wrong surgery. Not only is this terrible service but contributes to the worsening of my condition rather than effectively treating it.
