"Amazing staff doing a brilliant job."

I recently visited Basildon hospital using the Children's A & E department and I can not thank the staff there enough. My son had a bad fall from his bike and I had been turned away by my own Doctors who refused to see my son they would not even take 2 minutes of their time to look and see if it was something I could deal with or if I needed to go to A & E. When I arrived at Basildon I was already worried about what to do and if I should have brought my son but from the minute I booked my son in my mind was put at rest. The lady who booked me in at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and could not have been more different to the receptionist at my Doctors Surgery. The X Ray staff were friendly and had a great manner with my child. Every single Doctor and Nurse I saw in the Children's A & E dept were just amazing they were all so professional, friendly and excellent with my son they reassured him and even when he was struggling with his leg being dressed they still did a great job. The staff there are so busy with a constant flow of people but they never moaned just got on with it and every patient I saw was greeted with the same professional and friendly manner. I phoned the A & E department the next day to chase up a referral and I received the same service over the phone. I can honestly say I am just overwhelmed at how my Son and myself were treated that day the staff here are just outstanding they have such a tough job but they really do it brilliantly treating people and saving lives. Thank you so much again.
