I had one appointment with two topics I wanted to discuss. One of which was to renew a drug prescription I had had previously from a different GP. The consultant I saw was angry at me for bringing one of the issues up, declared that while it was disgusting was not something that would be treated on the NHS and that he didn't see why I didn't go to a private practice. I can't afford a private practice. A couple of months later I spoke to another medical professional who said it definitely is the sort of thing that I should have gone to the GP about and that I should have been referred. On another occasion when discussing contraception and bad periods I was told that he didn't understand why we didn't just take an ibuprofen and get on with it. That wouldn't have done much with me as my problem was puking. The receptionists at this practice was very rude and insensitive. The nurse however was amazing, she was kind, listened and understood when I didn't want to say anymore.
"Belittling unprofessional and rude"
