I felt unwell last Thursday evening. My family insisted over the weekend that I should make an appointment with the doctor.I rang on Tuesday morning spoke to a receptionist who asked me the issues.I explained she asked me my preferred phone number which I gave .She explained that someone would ring me . I received a call about 40 mins later. The
Nurse practitioner asked me for all details relating to my issue . I told her we discussed the issues and I felt immediately at ease and confident in her assessment. This nurse asked me to attend the surgery this morning the 21st.I went this morning I received a thorough examination and diagnoses . My blood pressure was very high during by appointment. I was asked to return in a couple of hours to see another nurse to check my blood pressure again the nurse made the appointment for me with reception.I attended two hours later my blood pressure was back to normal.I also received information from the nurse about a clinic that can help me with another issue.I found this out whilst the nurse was talking to me I am sure to relax me before taking my pressure .I was obviously stressed to begin with .it worked and I thanked her.
My treatment from the practice today was first class .I have been a patient for over 40 years and have and have always had confidence and satisfaction from the practice and everyone concerned . I myself thankfully have not required long term care ( fingers crossed for the future) .However , my late husband who passed away in 2017 did . His care was always five star he had as I have total confidence in the practice and it’s staff .His care was outstanding. from the receptionists to the doctors . I hear lots of negativity From various sources but
I have always championed Harwood Health Centre and will continue to do so .Trust me they are there whenever you need them .
"Excellent medical care"
