(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I am a patient on a ward in the Womens ward in Rampton Hospital. I have been here for several years and I use the gym at the Hospital every week sometimes more than twice. I like to run on the treadmill I have also walked many times around the Womens compound I really enjoy this and really appreciate it when they told me they had plans to build an open 800m track I was over the moon and when I ran on it for the first time it felt amazing I ran 2 1/4 mile and was very pleased with what has now been called the Westfield run track or walk or bike track.   I enjoy running and sometimes Modern Matron comes too, overall outstanding thing in my activity programme, thank you

Thank you for your posting. What a great read. It is great to see the New Westfield track being used already and I can tell how much you have enjoyed using it and over 2 miles. Excellent! I do know that the Westfield steering group will be please to see a posting already. I also know that Patients have been involved in its planing. Great Involvement here. Hopefully you will be able to join the official opening day on the 6th September. It is positive to read this will add something new to your activities programme.

So glad to hear this positive feedback, and that you are enjoying and making use of this great new facility.

As Nigel says, this has been a joint patients and staff project in planning and developing the west fields area.
