"Ward 57"

About: Western General Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was recently admitted to ward 57 after suffering severe abdominal pain for over 4 days and I have to say the care and compassion given to not only me but the other gentleman in my bay was outstanding. I have been in and out of hospital for years following a crohn's diagnosis and this ward has hands down been the best experience of the nhs I have ever had. The 2 support workers Lauren and ruth were outstanding helping me when I was at my lowest and taking time to just sit and listen to me moan Haha. Nurses laura, rachel and mark thanks from the bottom of my heart for all yous do. Yous are all a credit to your ward

Dear Shawy

I am delighted to receive your feedback about the staff in Ward 57. It is really important to us that our care is patient centred and that we can help patients during the most acute phase of their illness.

I will share this with the staff in Ward 57, with the greatest pleasure.

I hope you are now on the road to recovery.

Yours sincerely

Catriona Rostron

Nurse Director, Western General Hospital
