"Well done all, and many, many thanks"

About: Borders General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (Ward 9)

(as a service user),

Several weeks ago I had a total knee replacement at Borders General Hospital and was looked after admirably both before, during and after the operation.

From the surgeon and theatre staff, through the caring nursing staff and physios, to the tea ladies and cleaning staff, I found everyone to be kind and considerate.

Although busy, they carried out their tasks without rushing and displayed humour, even when under pressure. The food was good, appetising, and plentiful, so all credit to the kitchen.

Last year I had the same operation on the other knee, and four years before that had a hip replacement, so have good reason to be thankful to NHS Borders Orthopaedics! Well done all, and many, many thanks

Dear Imelda

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback, we really appreciate it. It's great to hear that you had such a positive experience during your stay in ward 9 at the Borders General Hospital. Also, despite feeling that the staff were busy that they still managed to carry out tasks without feeling that you were being rushed and with good humour. I hope that you are recovering well from your knee replacement. I will definitely share your feedback with all the staff within Ward 9.

Kind regards

Grace
