A week ago I had a prescription from Kingsmill Ophthalmology and as it was after 6 pm I took it first to a high street Chemist. They could not supply the items and so I went to the Chemist in a supermarket. They could not supply the 2 items needed, so I went to the Chemist in another supermarket. They did not have them but suggested that I leave my prescription and items would be ready for the following day. When I got home, this Chemist phoned me and said to re-collect my prescription as they could NOT provide the items from their suppliers.
You may appreciate the stress this caused, as my eye was infected and my wife who is elderly had to drive late evening to these 3 Chemists., To solve this, we had to travel to Kingsmill Hospital the following day and have a FRESH prescription made to access via the Hospital Pharmacy.
The reason I write this story is purely to find out whether this lack of service can be avoided, by using The Kingsmill Hospital Pharmacy in the 1st place?
