"I am on the mend thanks to you"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

Things changed for me I tripped on my top stair and fell into the bathroom on my left side.

I was in a lot of pain but did not no what I had done. My husband phoned for an ambulance which was not long in coming. They gave me gas and air for the pain and talked through what they were going to do.

They then got me into the ambulance and proceeded to Victoria Hospital. I thank the Paramedics very much for there care they were great.

After assessment I was transferred to ward 31. I was operated on and discharged and I could not have had better care.

I would like to thank the operating team nurses doctors Physios for great care.

I am on the mend thanks to you

Thank You😃

Hi Avila,

It is really good to hear that you are on the mend and getting back to your best again after your fall.

Thanks for taking the time to share your story and for giving such positive feedback about the care you received from our paramedics. It is really great to see this and also to hear that you had such a positive experience with other staff across the NHS.

We wish you all the very best for the future - and make sure you are extra careful whenever you are passing that top stair!

Mark
