About: Douglas Street Community Health Clinic

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended Douglas Street Out of Hours with my unwell 7 month baby. The service from start to finish was amazing. Was seen straight away with stephanie who recognised me from a previous experience a year before which put me completely at ease. Not only did she explain completely what she was doing with my son. She was amazing, speaking to him and trying to make him happy and make it as pleasant as possible. 

I was then seen by Dr Coates. He explained to me exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. He made my experience with the clinic as stress free as could be. Even to as little as helping me with car seat, bags jackets and items I had to carry. You can truly tell he cares for his patients a breath of fresh air, when normally all you hear is people complaining about the NHS. 
A special mention to the 2 ladies at reception also. With a welcoming entrance to the sincere goodbye at the end.. while waiting for my letter to attend wishaw general, they spoke away and kept me calm watching over my son while I got organised. 
Outstanding service from all at Douglas street.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch through Care Opinion. The staff at Douglas Street are a great team and we often hear that their professionalism, care and compassion is gratefully received by people attending at what can often be worrying and anxious times; Dr Coates should be "bottled".

I'll make sure your feedback reaches the Service Manager for the Out of Hours Service to share with the team (particularly thos mentioned by name) and celebrate the exemplar service they are providing.
