"The day I decided to get help"

About: Inclusion Isle of Wight

(as a service user),

When I went to Inclusion I realised that I had a problem and I could not fix it on my own.

The staff were very welcoming, I did not feel judged and it helped me to deal with the Anxiety and fears that I had about asking for help.

I don't feel comfortable talking about my addiction, but found the group work programme very comfortable and before I knew it I was sharing my story.

Doing this has helped me to start moving forward with my life, recovery is a great place to be.

I would like to thank Tony who runs the IRP group and all the staff who have given me support

Hi BOB37,

first of all well done for coming to get help, it can be a really difficult step to take so I am glad you found our team welcoming and non-judgemental. It sounds like you made great progress in wanting to share your own experiences in group work and we often find that hearing others experiences and learning from each other is a really powerful tool when looking to make changes to your own lifestyle.

It's great to hear that you feel you are moving forward, one step at a time and are motivated to continue, keep up the good work! Thanks for letting us know what you think. Good luck for the future.

Grace
