I visited the Practice Pharmacist today and received excellent, practical and friendly advice. Apparently this is a new service where you can discuss any long term medication you are on with the resident Pharmacist rather than 'waste' a GP appointment. It also has the benefit of a general health update (including BP) and the appointment slot was longer than for a GP. I think it is an excellent new service and highly recommend it and the professional way in which the Pharmacist dealt with my issues; she was a delight to deal with, thank you

Thank you for your comments. We have found that it is useful having a pharmacist who can provide a medication review separate to the work done by GPs. Pharmacists have an in-depth knowledge of medicines and are ideally placed to offer these skills.
