"Ward 4A"

WOW What a fantastic hospital! Thank you too all the staff from ward 4A, x-ray and ultrasound great experiences with all departments. I was transferred to

Alder Hay from my local hospital as my son was experiencing a bit of a mystery condition. First of all the porter gave us a quick tour of the hospital and some hints and tips surrounding the hospital. He totally put me and my son at ease straight away coming from another hospital x10 smaller than it is overwhelming, he even took us to our room and shown us how to use the lights etc- might sound daft but a lot more advanced than my hospital! The drs were amazing and came to see us straight away, nurses again are outstanding! My son after a few days was so fed up of being monitored, test after test- bloods after bloods it was making him so upset, it’s incredibly hard too see your child like that! The staff made every effort to ease my son and even calm me down. And one nurse even printed a certificate for my son to say how brave he is! I’ve never had a service like it before! I was so distraught in my local hospital and with exceptions of some nurses they did not seem to treat myself or son in the same way Alder hay did! The consultant listened to my opinion as his mum which was such a relief as you know your own child better than anyone else! I really struggle seeing my son unable to walk properly and the staff were so understanding towards my emotions I could never thank you all enough!
