"Accident and emergency department"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

I attended your A and E department at 19.00hrs on 9.8.19. I arrived via ambulance and sat in a queue in the corridor for a couple of hours following triage, which was obviously frustrating but once I was seen by the Dr and Nurse the service was excellent. I was listened to and had a full examination. They involved me in any decision making about my injury. I required stitches and I didn’t feel a thing. They distracted me so I didn’t notice. They have my husband the appropriate advice. Prior to leaving I needed a venflon removed as the paediatric nurse wasn’t busy she removed the venflon. They clearly worked as a team to address my health needs. The radiographer, again was good at involving me during the X-ray.
