"I feel like I'm in a hotel"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

I cannot thank enough all of the Arrowe Park staff who cared for my father recently: the ambulance team/paramedic, the medical staff, the catering staff, the cleaning staff, the volunteers, the Macmillan palliative care team, the Critical Care Outreach team, and the bereavement office staff.

From the moment my father was admitted -via ambulance to the resuscitation unit, then to the Acute Medical Unit, then to Ward 38- everyone who interacted with him gave professional, kind, compassionate, and respectful care. Not only to him, but to us, his family. The hospital's bereavement centre continued the same level of service after my father died.

We, dad's family, thank you all. But especially the day & night staff on Ward 38. The level of care and attention was amazing. At one point, dad said "I feel like I'm in a hotel."

We are very sorry for your loss. Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback, which we will be pleased to pass on to the departments who looked after your father, and also to the Bereavement Office.
