About: Bowling Hall Med Practice

after having made 33 calls this morning starting at 8am as requested I finally got through at 10 past only to be told there were no appointments left, this seems to happen every time I ring. I then asked if I could see a nurse as I have a chemical burn on my foot which was bleeding and as i'm diabetic I realise this needs seeing to, no available appointments there either, all this by 10 past 8!! was advised to go to hospital, well thank you for your expert opinion!. what do you do? 3 appointments a day?? my wife attends Vulcan st health centre and has no problems whatsoever getting an appointment and I think I shall be doing the same in future after coming here since being a small boy and i'm now in my mid 50's. thank you for being a complete waste of time

Thank you for your feedback regarding our appointments system. The majority of our GP appointments are book on the day, and unfortunately these go very quickly on a morning. On average during November 2019 we saw 330 appointments per day that we were open.

Our Nurse appointments are all pre-bookable, which means there are not usually appointments left on the day. We offer the following appointment types at our practice;

- Pre-bookable GP appointments up to 2 weeks in advance.

- Book on the day GP appointments available from 8am on the day.

- Pre-bookable telephone appointments available up to 2 weeks in advance

- Home visits with GPs and Nurses for patients unable to attend surgery

- Pre-bookable late evening GP appointments on Monday evenings until 8pm, bookable from 7 days before.

- Walk in GP appointments on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 1:30pm to 2:30pm - anyone coming to the desk between those times will be seen.

- Pre-bookable late evening GP appointments at other surgeries throughout Bradford from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, available from 5 days before.

- Book on the day late evening GP appointments at other surgeries throughout Bradford from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, available from 9am on the day.

- Pre-bookable weekend GP appointments at other surgeries throughout Bradford from 10am to 1pm, available from 9am the Thursday before.

- Push Doctor consultations via video call every weekday and weekend evening.

- Online Consultations from our practice web-site.

We also offer pre-bookable appointments with our Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapist, Carer Support worker and Alcohol Worker, as well as specialist clinics for Diabetes and Minor Surgery and post-natal clinics each week.
