"The care and the start of my rehabilitation has run very smoothly and unphased"

About: Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I was admitted on Sunday evening with a severe knee injury which required surgery.  The ward is 31 and from admission to discharge the staff of this ward were and are totally amazing. The staff on the ward only offer one kind of service and that's 5 star, often run ragged these boys and girls do it in a manner that can bring a tear to your eyes. The passion and professionalism of the people - well what can I say, amazing.

The care and the start of my rehabilitation has run very smoothly and un-phased.

If I could name everyone who looked after me I would but I am sure they all know my gratitude and love for all of them for helping me get back on my feet again.  This department does not need to improve.  Its the best with many nursing assistants going on to do their nurse training. I truly with them all the best and I know they will do very well.  Thank you ward 31 you are amazing.

Dear indiapg63,

I am delighted to read your post on care experience which describes the level of care you received on Ward 31, Orthopaedics at Victoria Hospital.

I know that Senior Charge Nurse Karen Peacock and the team in Ward 31 will be delighted that you were pleased with how they supported and cared for you during your time in hospital.

I will you well in your recovery.

Regards Arlene
