"The best surgery I have ever encountered"

I have only very recently joined this surgery and they have already helped me out 100% more than any other surgery I've been with. I am astonished by the constant positive attitude by all staff and the genuine feeling of people wanting to help. I am very impressed that they require all new patients to have an initial appointment to assess their health as this is not something I have ever experienced before. The surgery went above and beyond when they helped me before I had even had this first appointment. Last year I was treated for lymes disease and unfortunately again this year i had to pull a tick out. After a few days I felt unwell and believed it was infected. I asked the surgery if there was anything they could do to help eventhough I wasn't fully registered yet. The receptionist then did the most amazing job at getting me an appointment with our local hub where a nurse confirmed it was infected and removed the rest of it. I'm so thankful for their help with this because I dread to think what the alternative would have been.

My initial appointment after was extremely friendly and thorough and I felt happy knowing they were listening to everything I had to say and the nurse was extremely friendly. I was then booked in for an appointment to get all of my medication up to date and on the system. This was again really friendly and Informative. In this appointment we discussed my current contraceptive pill and for the first time in 7 years a doctor actually told me about the possible negative side effects for me. As a smoker in her 20s taking this contraceptive pill I am at further risk of strokes, blood clots and infertility and I was shocked to hear this. The doctor could see I was concerned and we had a detailed discussion about what I can do and what alternatives there are. As I want children in the future this is very important to me and I think the doctor could see I was worried. Not only did she change my contraception there and then, she also gave me advice on what to do when I decide to have children. Again I can not thank the surgery enough because I dread to think what the alternative would be.

To summarise, this doctors surgery is the best surgery to my knowledge and I am lucky to be a patient here.
