"Hospital sttitide"

About: Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust

I am shocked at the attitude of the nursing staff on the neuro trama ward . The inability to attend to the basic needs of a diabetic patient with a skull fracture was quite frankly shocking ! The night nurse team in particular were a disgrace and also thought it ok to discuss their social lives loudly whilst sick patients needed their rest , then as someone walked past tthey actually announced “we are having a staff meeting “. The general state of the wards and hospital are disgraceful .

My sister had her Canula removed to be discharged and told she would have to sit for five hours in a designated area 48 hours after a skull fracture was disturbing. And much to the shock of her consultant when he did his rounds . If this hospital and it’s nursing staff are indicative of the NHS then what a sad state we are all in !
