"They said it couldn't be endometriosis"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a parent/guardian),

After almost 3 years of pain my daughter got a referral. Whilst in there they basically said it couldn't be endometriosis even though my daughter has most symptoms, and that they sometimes never find a reason for the pain which basically means it's in her head.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding you and your daughter's recent experience.

I am glad to hear that your daughter has been given a referral however, I am sorry that it has taken such a long time especially given the length of time that she has been in pain.

If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact our PALS team on myh-tr.palsmidyorks@nhs.net.

Thank you again and I wish your daughter well for any future care and treatment she may have.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Patient Liaison Improvement Lead)
