About: North Middlesex Hospital / Accident and emergency

We brought our daughter, 9 years old, with strong chest pain, we are here for more than 1 and a half hours and they told us that we are going to wait for another 1 and half hours. They said that they have only 1 doctor to check children and in the waiting room are just another 2 children after us. They are useless and unprofessional. I wish I will never need me them again. I wish I didn't come to this rubbish hospital. They have no respect for the patient.

Thank you for offering to speak to me on the phone.

I tried calling you multiple times but unfortunately there was no answer each time.

I’m sorry that you had a long wait with your child in paediatric A&E. The long wait was due to the fact that the hospital’s A&E was exceptionally busy even around midnight when you came in with your child. Although we do our best to prioritise children, sometimes other patients need to be prioritised ahead of children on the basis of their medical requirements. I would like to apologise again that you found the wait distressing. I hope your child is well. Please do get in touch with us on 020 8887 3807 as I would be keen to discuss this matter with you.
