Attended the Endoscopy Unit recently obviously feeling apprehensive, the ward staff were really helpful. Ann checked me in and explained the procedure in detail and completed blood pressure checks etc, very helpful and makes you feel at ease.
After a short wait I was taken into the treatment room for the procedure where I met Barbara, Eva and endoscopist Gail and again everything explained again before procedure took place.
They were all very helpful and talked me through each stage as they progressed with the procedure. When done I was given a detailed explanation of what was found along with a detailed written report, the final report to follow in the next few weeks.
Most importantly you leave the ward feeling you have been treated very well with sincerity and armed with important information on the interim results of you treatment. I would like to thank everyone for their genuine concerns and kindness, nobody likes going for a procedure, however, the staff made sure you were kept as ease at all times continually giving reassurance.
