I had a consultation with one of the Drs at my surgery who was extremely unhelpful and not at all empathetic. They made me feel that my problems were totally unimportant. They were aloof, had little knowledge of what I wanted to discuss and offered no advice. I have a very rare condition which has caused me untold health problems, problems that take me to see a gp quite frequently. I worked as a practice nurse for twenty years and had to retire due to ill health. To be treated like this was totally unprofessional. Needless to say I will not be seeing them again or recommend anyone else to consult with this person.

Here at The Village Green Surgery we take the care of our patients seriously, and it saddens me to see patients posting negative comments like this online without giving us the chance to rectify matters. We have fourteen doctors currently, so it is impossible to know which one you consulted, but please ensure you see another of our doctors to assist in your care. Everyone has a favourite doctor, and everyone has a doctor they prefer not to see, usually due to personality differences, but I can state with confidence that we have no bad doctors, so if there is something we can learn from this incident I would be delighted to follow this up.

I value all the other GP’s I have seen at this surgery, they have been most helpful, empathetic and professional. This is why I was taken a back when seeing someone who was dismissive and not forth coming with conversation or opinion. It is the last thing you need when you have health problems that you are trying to deal with.
