About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

I arrived at A & E on the advice of my GP with a history of high heart rate.

I was assessed almost immediately and bloods and ecg taken immediately thereafter.

I was in RESUS and hooked up to monitors within 15 minutes of arrival and seen by a consultant very shortly thereafter.

All the staff were great and very caring.

The consultant [Mina] was very knowledgeable and had a superb manner with patients and staff.

I was transferred to AMU with a diagnosis of AF, where I was equally well cared for.
