Having 2 appointments on the same day, head CT at 0830 and Bone scan at 1430, we were worried about our relative (in the process of being diagnosed with dementia) becoming agitated and stressed at the long wait between them. Not thinking about phoning to reschedule one, we went to the In Patient Radiology for 1st appointment and were seen very quickly and were ready to leave at 0840. We called the Osteoporosis clinic to see if we might be able to be seen earlier, the lady said there wasn't anything available at the moment but she took my number and would call back if anything changed. We went for a coffee and within 15 mins received a call to come up straight away as someone hadn’t turned up, again our relative was seen very quickly and we were free to go home. We can’t thank both departments enough for the swiftness and helpfulness and also the CPNs at RCH who are supporting the family through these tough times.
