I cannot praise my experience of having my baby at Darenth Valley enough. Every midwife and doctor I came across was absolutely amazing - you would have thought I was the only patient they had at the time. I had a false alarm 3 weeks prior to my due date and the midwives that looked after me were supportive and really made my overnight stay comfortable - they even kept me laughing in a situation that could have been scary. When it actually came to my labour, I had a student nurse that was being supervised by another midwife (I really kick myself I can’t remember their names - id love to find out) I was kept informed of what was going on when things got complicated, and they made me feel so confident during my first labour. I cannot say enough about these two - and the doctor that delivered the baby when the moment came - she was efficient and to the point, which I massively appreciated after 24 hours of being in labour/the hospital. My labour ended up being so calm and enjoyable - not at all like any of the horror stories you read elsewhere. Please pass on a huge amount of praise for those on Cedar and the delivery suite - what an amazing group of employees!
