"They were all amazing"

About: Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care / General Medicine Royal Alexandra Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a relative),

My grandson was taken down to RAH from Lochgilphead with a viral gastric condition, , he had a fever and diahrria and a sore bum and they kept him in for a few hours to keep an eye on him, , they were all amazing and gave him some magic cream for his wee bum which was truly amazing! !

So would like to say a huge thank you to everyone and ask please can you tell us what is in that cream, , I know it’s vaseline but don’t know the other ingredient although Mum was told but she was in a bit of a state at the time she didn’t take the information in! ! Thank you all again from a grateful Nannie! ! My grandson is fine again apart from diahorria! !

Dear Variations

Great to hear that you felt your grandson was well looked after in both Lochgilphead and at the RAH. Glad he is fine and hope he quickly makes a full recovery.

I'm sure a colleague from the RAH will let you know the ingredients in the 'magic cream' but if you need any help finding out this information, my email address is: fionacampbell@nhs.net

Best wishes

Fiona Campbell

Dear Variations

Thank you for your kind feedback following your grandson's recent attendance at the RAH. I am pleased to read that he feeling better although unfortunately still experiencing some diarrhoea. Hopefully this will pass soon and he makes a full recovery.

In order to determine the treatment used for his skin, we would need to access your grandson's medical records. In order to do this, we would need authorisation from his Next of Kin and his personal details.

My email address is - Jacqueline.nicol@ggc.scot.nhs.uk if this is something you would like to pursue.

Many thanks again,

Jacqueline
