My mum passed away this week. As a family we knew the time would come when we would lose our mum to that evil disease cancer. My Mum was really poorly when she was admitted into Ward C3 and it quickly became clear that this was the final stages of her life. The entire staff cared for my mum throughout this horrendous experience and showed her tremendous amounts of compassion, care and respect. They also cared for us as a family, keeping us informed about what was happening, comforting us throughout and making us endless pots of tea. One lady in particular went above and beyond with her concern for us all. She made sure we ate, drank tea and listened to our fears and sadness. She was such a huge help during the most horrific experience of our life.
Every single person who works on this ward are compassionate, caring and such a huge support to people when they truly need it most. We will be eternally grateful to them for their care.
"Magnificent care of my mum"
