"Podiatry department"

My baby now will be 14month. Since my baby born she had eye discharges. In beginning I have been visiting GP every 2 weeks and we were getting different prescriptions. Eye drops we using till now and it’s getting annoying as it’s not helping at all. We have been in Kings Edward hospital 3 times. First was emergency as Child couldn’t open her one eye for 2hours. Then doctor told that probably the canal blocked but surgery can be done when child 1 year old. Then she was 5month. After that in month time we went to GP to get referral as eye was getting worse. Then again we got an appointment to this hospital she was 7month. Again waisted of time as they gave the same drops. My child now nearly 14month and situation not changing. Again referral from GP and I was shocked today as doctor said this surgery can’t be done until she will be 18month. I did ask what should I do for other 4moth. The doctor said the lady who is doing surgery is on metternity. Question is there is no one who could take care? I did ask where is written that this surgery from 18month as every doctor said this surgery from 12 months.so probably they can’t do as they don’t have enough staff and for that reason telling me that my child has to suffer until 18 month.very disappointing for situation which should be sorted sooner in my opinion.
